Components

The A&AS application consists of a list of components, that are installed in your system, to perform various operations.

The following components are available in the Windows system after the A&AS application is installed, and the required services are configured.

Components
  • A&AS Database Configuration—A utility used to configure the database access information.
  • A&AS Web application—Opens the Audit & Analytics Services Administrator in the browser. The application is used to configure admin access settings, create different roles, assign users to roles, grant permissions and view Applications, Tasks, Results, and Logs.

  • A&AS Web Explorer—Opens the Audit & Analytics Services application in the browser. The application is used to view applications, tasks, results, and logs. Tasks can be run manually.
  • A&AS Rule Editor—From the A&AS application, go to the List Rule Procedure window and open the Rule Editor to create or modify rules for an A&AS task. The A&AS Rule Editor automatically supplies rule templates with predefined structure of events. It allows you to create or use variables, functions, and processing options, as well as standard mathematical operators and Boolean expressions (such as AND, OR, and NOT) in defining business rules. In addition, data sources can be created and defined to access and process data.
    Rule procedure
  • Windows A&AS Rule Editor and Explorer—Opens the legacy Windows A&AS Explorer and Rule Editor that is used for operations as described above in the A&AS Web Explorer Rule Editor.
    Note: After installation, when you log in to the A&AS Rule Editor and Explorer for the first time, use the default username (admin) in the lower case and leave the password text box empty.
  • Start Application Server—An application used to start the A&AS application server.
  • Stop Application Server—An application used to stop the A&AS application server.
  • Uninstall Audit & Analytics Services—An application used to uninstall the A&AS application.
