CA Datacom/DB CDC Function
CA Datacom/DB writes during operation - if configured accordingly
All changes to the user data to specific tables of a CA-DATACOM database set up for this purpose. The process reads these tables directly and interprets the CDC entries.
Perform the following steps:
- Source agent: Name of the agent on which the CA-DATACOM MUF with the CDC tables can be accessed. A new reference to a previously unknown RDRS agent can be created by selecting the line ‘New agent…’ in the list without leaving the process definition.
- Access URT: Name of a CA-DATACOM URT which allows the process to access the tables TSN and MNT. In the RDRS MACLIB an example for such a URT is provided in the member TVSDCDCU.
- CTLID, DBID, and CDC MUF name: Specifies the access information to the CA-DATACOM CDC MUF.
- Datacom Loopback prevention ID: In a bidirectional CDC environment this
CA-DATACOM database is also an output target for RDRS. Changes made by RDRS in
this CA-DATACOM database will reappear as CDC input data.
To avoid that these changes are processed again, it can be defined in the output target for this CA-DATACOM database that in addition to the apply of the data an update is made to a special table of RDRS.
By entering the same ID as for the output target, the CA-DATACOM CDC read process is instructed to discard transactions with RDRS indexed changes already at the source. In the selection list all Ids already defined for output targets of the type DATACOM can be found.
