IDMS SQL Tables with Direct Access

This data source can be used for both bulk transfer process and batch compare process.

The common parameters are described in the following section:

IDMS SQL Tables with Direct Access

Perform the following steps:

  1. Data source: All the defined data sources for the type IDMS SQL appears in the list. To create a new reference without leaving the process definition, select new Data Source… from the list. The Display button display button displays the properties of a selected data source.
  2. Source agent: The agent used for the input part of the process is the one specified for the selected input source.
  3. Dictionary: The name of the dictionary for the connection to IDMS SQL as defined in the data source definition.
  4. Database: The name of the target database for the connection to IDMS SQL as defined in the data source definition.
  5. Selected tables: The list shows the tables for which there is already an entry in the repository. To add more tables without leaving the process definition, click the Import of metadata button Import of metadata. For a bulk transfer process, you can select multiple tables, for example, all tables belonging to a creator. They are then processed according to the alphabetical order of their names. A batch compare process always evaluates only one table; only one table can be marked at a time.
