IDMS SQL Tables with Direct Access
This data source can be used for both bulk transfer process and batch compare process.
The common parameters are described in the following section:

Perform the following steps:
- Data source: All the defined data sources for the type IDMS SQL appears in
the list. To create a new reference without leaving the process definition, select
new Data Source… from the list. The
Display button
displays the properties of a selected data source. - Source agent: The agent used for the input part of the process is the one specified for the selected input source.
- Dictionary: The name of the dictionary for the connection to IDMS SQL as defined in the data source definition.
- Database: The name of the target database for the connection to IDMS SQL as defined in the data source definition.
- Selected tables: The list shows the tables for which there is already an
entry in the repository. To add more tables without leaving the process definition,
click the Import of metadata button
. For a bulk transfer process, you can select multiple tables, for example,
all tables belonging to a creator. They are then processed according to the
alphabetical order of their names. A batch compare process always evaluates only one
table; only one table can be marked at a time.
