Open PL/I の各データ型のサイズおよび整列については、『Open PL/I ユーザー ガイド』を参照してください。
構造体や配列に含まれていないデータは、ワードまたは倍長ワードの境界に割り当てられます。ただし、Character(1) および Bit(1) の整列されたデータは例外で、バイト境界に割り当てられます。
