Host Option for TCP/IP

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

With the XDB Link Host Option for TCP/IP (or Host Option for TCP/IP) installed, the XDB Link can use the TCP/IP protocol to access DB2 data on the host. The XDB Link becomes a TCP/IP multi-user, multi-threaded server that processes DRDA-compliant requests for access to DB2 over a TCP/IP network.

The Host Option for TCP/IP consists of:
