Note: This screen displays real-time data (if you accessed it through option =1.8.7) or history data (if you accessed it through option =1.8.16). The Type field indicates which type of data (CUM or DELTA for real-time or History for history) is being displayed.

The screens displayed for both real-time and history data are identical in look and navigational flow. However, if history data is being displayed, History is displayed as a subtitle along with the start date and time of the current time interval found in the LFS file.

If a cache structure has multiple storage classes, a summarization of all storage classes is displayed as storage class 0. If the cache structure has only one storage class, only storage class 1 is displayed.

Use the LEFT and RIGHT commands or cursor-select the left and right scroll arrows (< and >) to access all the information displayed on this screen.

Description

HISTORY

Switch to History mode. Displays the CF Cache Storage Class History screen. Data will be displayed for the most recent data collection interval stored on the TMON for z/OS LFS files. When you are done viewing the history data, either enter the END command or press PF3 to return to delta or cumulative mode.

Note: You can access the history data only when viewing data from a local system. History data is not displayed when viewing data from a remote system.

You also can cursor-select the HIST field or enter H in the Type field to perform this function.

Fields

The < > n, (filter area), FA=, LINES: nnnnn TO nnnnn OF nnnnn, SEQ, and SORT COL fields are GRF fields and are described in GRF Screens.

Cast Out Count

Displays the number of data entries cast out.

Comp RefLst Count

Displays the number of completed reference lists.

Data Area Count

Displays the number of data areas.

Data Elem Count

Displays the number of data area elements.

Data Reclm Count

Displays the number of data entry reclaims.

Dir Entry Count

Displays the number of directory entries.

DirEnt Reclm Count

Displays the number of directory entry reclaims.

Duration

Displays the duration of the measurement interval, in MM:SS.hh format.

HIST

Cursor-select this field to display the CF Cache Storage Class History screen, which shows historical storage class activity information. Data will be displayed for the most recent data collection interval stored on the TMON for z/OS LFS files. When you are done viewing the history data, either enter the END command or press PF3 to return to delta or cumulative mode.

Mode

Displays the execution mode for the Sysplex XCF Monitor.

  • Local indicates local mode.
  • Sysplex indicates sysplex mode.

Displays the number of partially completed reference lists.

R Miss AsgSup Count

Displays the read miss assignment suppressed count, which is the number of times that a named data item was not identified to the structure, and the allocation of the directory entry was intentionally suppressed.

R Miss ClFull Count

Displays the read miss target class full count, which is the number of times that a named data item was not identified to the structure, and a directory entry could not be allocated because no storage resources were available.

R Miss DirHit Count

Displays the read miss directory hit count, which is the number of times that the named data item was identified to the structure with no cached data.

R Miss Nm Asg Count

Displays the read miss name assigned count, which is the number of times that the named data item was not identified to the structure, and a directory entry was allocated.

Read Hit Count

Displays the number of times that the system returned data on a read request.

RefSig Miss Count

Displays the number of named data items for the storage class that reference list processing specified but could not find in the structure.

Start

Displays the start date and time of the measurement interval, in YYYY/MM/DD-HH:MM:SS format.

If you are displaying history data, you can overtype the date and time to view data from a different measurement interval.

Stg Cl Full Count

Displays the number of target storage classes that are full.

Stg Cls

Displays the storage class number. Storage class 0 represents the summarization of all storage classes for the structure.

Structure Name

Displays the name of the structure.

Cursor-select this field to display the CF Structure Detail screen.

System

Displays the system ID where the Sysplex XCF Monitor server is executing when the Sysplex XCF monitor is executing in sysplex mode.

Displays the ID of the system from which the data originated when the Sysplex XCF Monitor is executing in local mode. You can overtype the ID to view a remote system in the same XCFGROUP.

Total Chngd Count

Displays the number of named data items assigned to the specified storage class that have changed.

Type

Indicates the type of data displayed on the screen:
  • CUM—indicates real-time data in cumulative mode. The interval duration increases each time the screen is refreshed.

    If you are in cumulative mode, you can enter either D in this field to change to delta mode or H to change to history mode.

  • DELTA—indicates real-time data in delta mode. A new interval is started each time the screen is refreshed.

    If you are in delta mode, you can enter either C in this field to change to cumulative mode or H to change to history mode.

  • History—indicates history data. History mode can only be entered when viewing data from the local system. History mode is not supported when viewing data from a remote system.

    If you switched from delta or cumulative mode to history mode, either enter the END command or press PF3 to return to delta or cumulative mode.

U Dir Regint Count

Displays the number of unchanged directory entries with registered interest.

W Hit Chng Count

Displays the write hit change bit 1 count, which is the number of times that data was written with the changed bit set.

W Hit Unchng Count

Displays the write hit change bit 0 count, which is the number of times that data was written without the changed bit set.

W Miss AsnSup Count

Displays the write miss assignment suppressed count, which is the number of write requests that requested directory assignment suppression and were suppressed because a directory entry did not exist.

W Miss ClFull Count

Displays the write miss target storage class full count, which is the number of times a request to write data failed because the target storage class was full.

W Miss Inv St Count

Displays the write miss invalid state count, which is the number of times a request to write unchanged data failed because the named data item already had cached change data.

W Miss NotReg Count

Displays the write miss not-registered count, which is the number of times a request to write data failed because required connection interest was not previously registered.

W Miss WrtSup Count

Displays the write miss write suppression counter, which is the number of write requests specifying LOCALREGCNTL=YES that were suppressed because local cache was the only registered interest in the directory entry and data entry did not have cached subsystem data.

W Unch w/XI Count

Displays the write unchanged with XI count, which is the number of times XI was performed as a result of a write data request with no changes but with XI specified.

XI CmpInv Count

Displays the XI for complement invalidation count, which is the number of times XI was performed as a result of a user request to perform XI for the named data item.

XI Dir Reclm Count

Displays the XI for directory reclaim count, which is the number of times XI was performed as a result of a directory entry reclaim.

XI LIVIR Count

Displays the XI for local cache vector index replacement count, which is the number of times XI was performed as a result of a request that specified a local cache vector index for a data item to replace an existing index.

XI Nm Inv Count

Displays the XI for name invalidation count, which is the number of invalid XI names.

XI Write Count

Displays the number of XI writes.
