Micro Focus Server provides an execution environment for COBOL applications that you have deployed from Server Express or Net Express. Your Micro Focus Server might include Enterprise Server, a scalable COBOL server that provides a managed execution environment for high volume transactional COBOL applications. The best place to start learning about Enterprise Server is the chapter Introduction in your Configuration and Administration Guide.

Licensing

To run Micro Focus Server, you must have one or more Micro Focus Server licenses. These licenses allow you to deploy and run applications that you have developed using Net Express or Server Express. For more information see your Deployment License Management Guide.
